Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Do we have to bring a mentor couple, or can we come without one?
Answer: You do NOT have to bring a mentor couple, although we do encourage it!
Question: How do we apply for financial aid?
Answer: Fill out a financial aid form and be prepared to ask for exactly what you need. There are funds available to help, and we do not want financial issues to keep you away!
Question: Who makes the travel arrangements for the mentors?
Answer: CPM will cover all the travel and lodging expenses of the mentors, but the mentors must make their own travel and lodging arrangements. After arrangements are made or expenses are incurred, we will give instructions for submitting receipts and after we receive the receipt, we will issue a reimbursement check.
Question: We are not sure we want to stay married. Is this conference for us?
Answer: Yes. There will be people attending the conference at every stage of the process, including those who are completely committed, those who are on the fence, those who are in the middle of the battle, and those who have experienced some level of relational healing and growth.
Question: Can I come without my spouse?
Answer: As a general rule, we request that both spouses attend the conference. It is geared for the couple, as a couple.
Question: We are engaged. Can we attend this conference?
Answer: Yes! This conference would be a great pre-marital primer for anyone engaged to be married!
Question: Will my spouse learn how to not be gay?
Answer: No. This conference is not designed to fix one spouse or the other. It is a couples conference designed to help heal and grow the marriage. The topics covered during the course of the conference are geared toward marriages impacted by homosexuality.
Question: Is this conference only for marriages where the husband struggles with homosexuality?
Answer: No. It is for any marriage impacted by the homosexual struggle of either spouse.
Question: Do we need to attend the entire conference?
Answer: Attendance at the entire conference is strongly encouraged but is not mandatory.
Question: Are meals included?
Answer: Yes, meals are covered through breakfast on Sunday morning. Breakfast will come with your hotel room. We will provide catered lunch and supper or will eat at a restaurant for all other meals, and all the costs will be paid by CPM.
